Convert Studios Case Study

CONVERT STUDIOS

Convert Studios specialises in designing, prototyping and supplying custom-designed technology products. At ten years old, this company is relieving a struggle point in the tech industry by manufacturing tailored auxiliary office equipment and hardware. Convert Studios’ industrial designers create custom-made pieces such as screen stands, docking stations, shelves and accessories to support the effective utilisation of existing tech products.

The Challenge:

The company worked in many industries, but with the changing trend of the open office workplace and the future of work, Convert Studios wanted to focus on servicing the activity-based working (ABW) open office industries, but didn’t know how to do this. Being unable to identify their target audience meant that Convert Studios couldn’t position their marketing correctly or tailor their messaging to reach the right internal connections. They knew they needed to update their website, but weren’t sure about the main messages or copy to say. A core goal for Convert Studios was that they wanted to partner with global multinational tech company Cisco to help supply their rotating Webex Board stands, but weren’t sure how to draft the business case for an effective submission.

The Forestlyn Approach:

To help Convert Studios achieve their goal, we took a dual approach by revitalising their marketing strategy as well as facilitating its implementation. We took a deep dive into their business model to find out which points were letting them down so we could restructure their strategy for long-term growth. We gained an in-depth understanding of exactly what Convert Studios wanted to achieve so that we could get them there with the implementation of the marketing strategy and produce a business case for Cisco as a preferred supplier.

The Solution:

To resolve Convert Studios’ issues with new client acquisition, we created a targeted marketing strategy and implemented it effectively to ensure long-term results. Convert Studios is now partnered with multinational tech giant, Cisco as their preferred supplier for screen stands and is receiving orders from around the world. This is how we did it:

  • Ran a series of discovery workshops to understand company goals and vision.

  • Uncovered new target audience segments within the technologies, design and activity-based workplace (ABW) industries.

  • Developed messaging and positioning for additional segment groups from healthcare, education, supply chain, mining, hospitality, retail, commercial offices and the future of work.

  • Website upgrade with new structure, layout, copy and design to fit with newly formulated marketing strategy and direction.

  • Researched into similar products and industry competitors to differentiate Convert Studios as a unique offering within the market.

  • Conducted a deep dive into prospect partner, Cisco, to formulate and produce a strategic business case on the values and benefits Convert Studio would provide as the preferred supplier.
